These terms cover the website and our free resources. The actual work we do for you is governed by a signed agreement, and where the two differ, that agreement wins.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of saucetech.io and the free materials we publish on it. The site is operated by Sauce Technologies LLC (“Sauce,” “we,” “us”), Libertyville, Illinois. By using the site, you agree to these Terms.
These Terms apply to the website. Any paid work (a build, a retainer, an assessment) is governed by a separate Master Services Agreement and Statement of Work that we sign with you. If anything in those documents conflicts with these Terms, the signed agreement controls for that engagement.
You may read, download, and share our published materials for your own business use. You agree not to:
Submitting a form is an invitation for us to get in touch; it doesn’t create an engagement or any obligation on either side until we’ve agreed terms in writing.
Scope, deliverables, timelines, and fees are set out in each Statement of Work. The pricing shown on the site (for example, fixed-scope builds from $1,500 and recurring engagements from $150/month) describes our typical starting points, not a binding quote. Your quote is the one in your signed SOW.
Ownership is a point of principle for us. On a fixed-scope build, you own the deliverable (the source in your repository, the infrastructure in your cloud account, and a written off-ramp) on the terms set out in your SOW, typically once fees are paid. We don’t hold your data, your code, or your business hostage. The specifics live in the agreement.
The website, our writing, the Sauce name and mark, and any underlying tools or methods we reuse across engagements remain ours, except where an SOW expressly assigns or licenses something to you. Downloading a guide gives you the right to read and use it, not to claim it as your own work.
The site and our free materials are provided “as is.” They’re meant to be useful, not to be relied on as legal, financial, or technical advice for your specific situation; that’s what an engagement is for. To the fullest extent the law allows, Sauce isn’t liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the website, and our liability for the site is limited accordingly. Nothing here limits liability that can’t lawfully be limited. Liability for paid work is addressed in the relevant SOW.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. We may update these Terms from time to time; the effective date at the top reflects the latest version, and continued use of the site means you accept it.
